Here's What to Expect

Welcome to Obetz Church of the Nazarene! We enjoy seeing new faces whenever our doors are open! Our Sunday Morning Worship services begin at 10:00am. Our services typically start with a time of song and praise worship, followed by a sermon prepared by one of our pastoral team members.

What we offer

Any of the the below services are offered to allow you as a parent to be present in the sermon without any distractions. They also allow the children to get the most out of their service with their hands-on learning tactics.

None of the below services are mandatory. If you as a parent do not feel comfortable leaving your child, please do not feel obligated to do so.

All adults working with children undergo a background check before being allowed to serve in any of the organization's children's services.

Nursery Age

Obetz Church of the Nazarene offers Nursery services for children ages 6 months to 4 years old.

There are waiver and consent forms to fill out if you would like to allow the nursery workers to change diapers or assist them in the restroom.

Children's Church

Our children's church is for children ages 4 to 12 years old. Most Sunday morning's the children will worship with the adults in song and praise, and will go to the annex together with a security member to have their junior church service. Once the adult service is finished, the children are escorted back to the building to be checked in with their parent.

During the service, the annex door is locked for safety and security, and the parent will need to find a security member in the lobby of the church if a child needs to leave before service is over.

Sunday School begins at 9:00am and is over at 9:55am.

These "classes" are split by age and grade level.

Sunday Morning Worship

All are welcome to our Sunday morning Worship services. Our services typically start with a time of song and praise worship. During this time, we will sing a song to begin worship followed by some general announcements and a call to worship led by a member of our congregation. Following the call to worship, we usually sing 2-3 songs and move into our sermon led by one of the pastoral team members.
